Lease Manager- Langley

 Our Client, a leader in the vehicle rentals, sales and leasing markets is looking for a Lease Manager to join their growing team in Langley.  This company is listed as one of Canadas best managed companies year after year and provides lots of opportunity for future growth. The Sales Manager will oversee all agreements, employee performance, growth plans and direction as well as be tasked with upholding the brand integrity and excellent customer service their customers have come to expect. Someone who has a strong leadership background and ability to oversee all vehicle aspects will do well.


Duties and Responsibilities

Health & Safety

  • Read, understand and comply with safety policies, safe work practices and procedures and rules as well as any OHS legislation as it applies to their work
  • Actively participate in the companys safety program
  • Ensure employees under their management are aware of and abiding by their rights and duties under applicable OHS legislation
  • All other safety responsibilities and duties as determined by the companys safety program and OHS legislation
  • Training compliance above 98% (All training, especially H&S onboarding & review of Hazard Assessments) 
  • 85% of corrective actions from investigations and inspections closed within the allotted time. 
  • 1 Planned inspection and 1 safety meetings completed monthly and submitted on time
  • All other safety responsibilities and duties as specified by the companys safety program and OHS legislation.

Human Resources

  • Assist in the recruitment for potential new Lease employees
  • Ensuring regular performance reviews of  Lease employees are conducted as per company performance management program
  • Participate and administer training as required and ensure internal company courses for self and the team are complete and up to date
  • Ensure employees are appropriately licensed as per provincial requirements and verify renewals
  • Set a weekly work schedule, including weekends, for the Lease team (where applicable) and other employees under direct supervision
  • Work with the Branch Manager to ensure there is appropriate vacation coverage

Customer Relations

  • Ensure customer follow up is completed in an efficient and timely manner using the 3/3/3 format
  • Ensure constant monitoring of the Lease Expiry List for the branch so that the Account Manager is in contact with customers at a minimum of 3 months before lease expiry to plan their next lease and return outcome.
  • Manage and document all leads and customer communication is updated in the company CRM system
  • Actively work with the Lease team to drive more reviews through sites such as Google, Facebook, Yelp, etc.
  • Customer complaints are to be resolved, documented, and root cause identified (using CAR system) in an efficient and timely manner
  • Forward all negative customer feedback to Marketing to manage social media
  • Plan and/or participate in customer loyalty functions and networking activities
  • Review and share customer feedback surveys with the team and action as appropriate
  • Manage warranty reserve fund to address customer warranty issues

Lease Process

  • Approve lease structures including capital costs, terms and residuals
  • Liaise with the Credit team for approvals
  • Commission and desk deals
  • Manage the lease portfolio including expiring leases, lease returns, terminations and renewals
  • Maintain ongoing client relations

Inventory control

  • Ensure optimal (mix, age and 3 month supply) of inventory through the following sources (in this order):
    • Ex-rental inventory (preference given to this source for Used Leasing)
    • Lease termination inventory
    • Trade-in inventory
    • Wholesale (non-branch) inventory
  • New Purchases: Manage the Factory Order process if new leases are required using Customer FAN/FIN
  • Oversee the reconditioning process for Lease vehicles and ensure the vehicle are reconditioned as per the company policy standards
  • Liaise with other Lease Managers to access used inventory within company policies
  • Provide bid on company lease return

Lease Marketing

  • Collaborate with Marketing and the Branch Manager on specific marketing needs

Budgeting and Planning

  • Assist the branch manager in creating the Lease department annual budget
  • Review monthly lease targets and establish specific targets for each member of the lease team
  • Conduct regular weekly progress meetings with the lease team to ensure targets are being understood and achieved



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in vehicle sales/leasing and/or sales/leasing management
  • Available inside and outside regular business hours
  • Must have an active Vehicle Sales License, where applicable
  • Valid Drivers License and Drivers Abstract acceptable to  Company’s Groups Driver and Vehicle Safety Program (in order to drive company vehicles)
  • Due to fiduciary responsibility, pre-hire Criminal Security Clearance and Credit Check is required
  • Strong computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to delighting customers through attitude, attention and effort
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to solve problems independently following company guidelines and policies
