THE ROLE

Our client, a well-known Business Tax, Bookkeeping & Payroll Specialist which has been serving their clients for over 70 years throughout Canada, is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their Calgary team.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will support and oversee the execution of the annual marketing plan. The marketing team is focused on discovering new ways to bring the value of our client’s services to farm and business owners across Canada. The successful candidate is organized, resourceful and tech-savvy with experience in inbound lead generation, marketing automation, content development and management, as well as event planning and organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the development, production and delivery of marketing projects and materials targeted to internal and external audiences through a variety of channels and media.
  • Is responsible for plans and programs that accelerate and optimize lead generation including inbound, events and other channels.
  • Oversees the day-to-day management and optimization of our client’s websites, online presence, and directories (Google My Business, Bing, BBB).
  • Manages the executional details of marketing plan implementation including budget management, fulfillment management, development of creative beliefs and project timelines.
  • Maintains brand and visual identity standards that include accessible files for fonts, colour swatches, presentation formats and other brand related documentation.
  • Works with the sales and lead generation teams in identifying and assessing partnership opportunities with external groups and associations.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of sales enablement tools.
  • Oversees the management of our client’s third-party NPS, customer insight platform.
  • Supports the firm’s Communications Advisor in the execution of our client’s social media strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications or Advertising.
  • 5+ years relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience managing and implementing inbound marketing campaigns and offline events including measuring and assessing results.
  • Working knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms – preference will be given to candidates with HubSpot experience and certifications.
  • Working experience with online advertising strategy (Google and Microsoft); Google Analytics; Asana (or similar project management tool); SEM Rush.
